VIDEO: Mountain Running Through the Himalayas

As followers of this Substack likely know already, I ran a 170-kilometer (100+ miles) trail race through Nepal’s Mustang region. Suffice it to say, this was no ordinary trail run.
The Mustang Trail Race is an eight-stage event with almost 9,000 meters (29,000 feet) of elevation at high, lung-draining altitude. It's a part of Nepal that was, until relatively recently, forbidden for foreigners to enter.
I documented the entire experience, from acclimatizing in Kathmandu with a hike in Shivapuri National Park to showing what happens when you breathe in too much of that harsh desert air. (Cue me collapsing in a guesthouse bed.)
This is more than a race. With the privilege of traveling to a place like Mustang, it's a chance to reflect on your life, learn something new, and if you’re up for it, make a change.
Now sit back and enjoy the adventure.
