I’ve lived in Germany for over eight years now, believe it or not. In that time, I’ve traveled to every nook and cranny of this country, hiking trails and visiting villages of which many folks born here have never heard. That’s a shame, because these off-the-beaten-path spots are my favorite places to travel to in Germany.

It’s no secret that these are the kinds of places international travelers increasingly prefer to visit. So with that in mind, I’ve compiled an e-book featuring my favorite 20 off-the-beaten-path destinations in Germany.

Each chapter includes an overview of the destination, a highlight you can’t miss, notable places to visit in the area, and the best way to get their using public transportation. The guide also comes with a link to a private map I’ve created with pins for everything in the e-book as well as some of my favorite restaurants and bars in many of the destinations.
